What is IELTS Life Skills ?

Individuals who need to demonstrate their English-speaking and listening skills to obtain a UK visa must take the IELTS Life Skills test. It is available at levels A1 and B1 under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

For It is specifically designed to meet UKVI requirements for various visa categories and other immigration purposes.

If you are applying for a "family of a settled person" visa, you will need to take the IELTS Life Skills A1 test. The IELTS Life Skills B1 test is necessary if you are applying for "indefinite leave to remain" or "citizenship" visas.

"There is no restriction on the number of times you can take the IELTS Life Skills test; however, once you pass it, you cannot retake it at the same level for two years."
